Invasion of Gaza Will Eliminate Support for Israel Posted: 18 Nov 2012 07:20 PM PST LONDON, ground strikes on the Gaza Strip will eliminate the trust and support of other countries against Israel, said British Foreign Secretary William Hague warned on Sunday (18/11/2012). The statement came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the armed forces are ready to "expand significantly" operations against militant groups in the Gaza Strip. However, according to the Hague, is now difficult for the international community to maintain a fondness for Israel if the Jewish state launched a ground movement. "Onslaught of land makes it difficult international community sympathy or support, including the UK," he said. Earlier, Netanyahu is reported to have assured U.S. President Barack Obama that Israel is not planning to launch a ground offensive into Gaza.
