| Samsung Google Chromebox Redesign Posted: 03 Jan 2013 01:03 PM PST  Chrombox itself is a computer that brings the concept of a compact design to save space. Chromebox come up with the same operating system with the Chromebook, which is a cloud-based operating system Chrome OS made by Google. Chromebox first generation made by Samsung is very similar to Apple's Mac Mini, which is carrying the box design with rounded corners (rounded). While Chromebox tebaru has been redesigned by Samsung, so it no longer looks like the Apple Mac Mini. The new design made by Samsung that carries Chromebox white and made of plastic material looks more attractive than the previous generation Chromebox. Samsung Chromebox new generation is powered by the Intel Celeron B840 dual-core processor with 1.9 GHz speed paired with 4GB of RAM memory and graphics of Intel HD Graphics. Specifications Chromebox is not too powerful, considering cloud-based operating system does tek require large computing power. Samsung also equip new Chromebox with 16GB of storage space in the form of SSD (Solid State Drive), WiFi, power 2W mono speaker, 6 USB 2.0 ports, DVI port, headset jack, and two DiplayPort. Chrome OS is the operating system can be considered as the Linux operating system designed by Google to work exclusively with web-based applications and the cloud. Chrome OS operating system was launched on July 7, 2009. As quoted by TG Daily (01/02/2012), a new generation Chromebox made by Samsung is sold at a price range of USD $ 300 or about IDR 2.9 million.          |
